•     In case the group arrives/departs at/from the Athens’ airport before 6 am or after 12 pm, the charge for the bus transfer will be affected   accordingly and the itinerary will change.

Day 1: Arrival in Athens
Welcome to Athens!
You will be met, on arrival and transferred to your hotel in Athens. Time at leisure to discover Athens! Redolent with history and mythology, Athens is a vibrant city, enlivened by bustling outdoor cafes, pedestrian streets that wind through the city's ancient sites and its fair share of urban eccentrics, a city full of contrasts. Overnight.

                         

Day 2: Athens sight-seeing
This morning enjoy a city tour of Athens. Your expert guide will reveal to you the secrets of the Acropolis & the Parthenon, the Acropolis museum, and the Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch and the Kallimarmaro Stadium, built of marble for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Enjoy the ancient wonders and explore the birthplace of democracy. Twist and turn through the Plaka’s narrow streets and find ancient sites, cafes and shops full of history and character. Free time to enjoy the local food around Monastiraki and Psyrri area and rest in the hotel in the afternoon.
                         

                         

Day 3: Delphi- Patras
Breakfast at the hotel and early departure to Delphi where you will visit the archaeological site and museum centred around the Oracle of Delphi, one of the most important landmarks of antiquity. The philosopher Socrates claimed to consult with the Oracle here and ancient military leaders left offerings in the hopes of earning luck in battle. Ponder the mysteries that lie in your future as you climb the ruins of the Temple of Apollo. According to legend, this is where the gods chose to communicate with mortals. See a variety of artifacts dating back to 550 BC at the Delphi museum, and learn more about the mythical past of Greece. Guided tour to the Temple of Apollo, Delphi Museum and move on to Patras. Upon arrival to Patras we will have a small city tour in the city centre and then free time for lunch and shopping. Late evening back to Athens, overnight

                         

Day 4: Olympia-Argolida
Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Olympia and stand on the site of the first Olympic Games. Ancient myth attributes Hercules with founding the Ancient Olympic Games nearly 2800 years ago. Hercules is also credited with establishing every four years between Greek city- states.  You will have a guided tour to the Olympia Archaeological museum which houses bronze terracotta and sculptured artifacts related to the Olympic Games and their factory. Visit to the Olympia Museum and continue to Argolida and Epidaurus. Late evening return to Athens and overnight.

                         

Day 5: Depart from Athens
Breakfast and check out. Transfer to the airport and flight back home.
